August 2019: Wooden children to beautify the children’s ward
Anyone who visited the “International Fair” during the 2019 Ruhr Festival season went through a large gate with many colorful figures hanging on it. These happy wooden people will soon bring fun and encouragement to sick children in the children’s ward of our hospital. The donation was handed over by the Trade Education Center (BZdH) in Recklinghausen.

Unfortunately, the electricity supply in Ghana is not always guaranteed outside of the rainy season.
Thanks to the donation of an emergency generator from the Marienkrankenhaus in Schwerte, we are now prepared for all eventualities.
This important support was successfully removed and transported away with heavy equipment and many helping hands.
Pharmacy in Vorst/Tönisvorst, Germany

After giving up the pharmacy in Vorst/Tönisvorst due to age, Ms. Rothkopf-Ischebeck quickly donated the pharmacy equipment and the air conditioning system to our project.
Our hospital pharmacy is now almost complete.

So, now it’s time. The tools and materials for the tilers and painters have to get to Ghana as quickly as possible. Two master tilers and a master painter have joined us and are flying to Ghana at their own expense to help with the completion of the ground floor.
They are making sure to take their own tools, paints and materials with them.

Josef Schulte and Albin Hennecke, from Sauerland, have arrived in Ghana and are busy tiling the floors on the ground floor. The floors are expertly prepared, worked, tiled and then grouted.
November 2019: Hendrik Wilp paints the walls on the ground floor
Hendrik Wilp, from Emsdetten, has also arrived in Ghana and is helping with the renovation. After a briefing with Dr. Okae, during which the individual colors were assigned to the surfaces, the walls and ceilings are being worked on and painted

Experiences and impressions were exchanged in a very constructive discussion. Mr. Wegener expressed great interest in our project and offered us close cooperation. Mr. Wegener gave us important contacts in Ghana, as well as in North Rhine-Westphalia. A connection that opens up new opportunities for us on our path to helping the children in Ghana.
