What we do / Impressions

In 2010, Dr Samuel Okae bought a plot of land in a suburb of Accra, the capital of Ghana. Today, the clinic is already standing and the interior fittings are being worked on diligently.

Samuel organises a lot of things regarding the hospital project from Dortmund and sends shipping containers filled with building materials and furniture to Ghana. An emergency power generator, which is no longer used in Germany, for example has been removed from a clinic in Schwerte for use in the hospital in the future.

The construction supervision is carried out by a friendly engineer from Ghana and Dr Okae’s family also keep an eye on the construction site. But the doctor prefers to be on site himself. Every year he spends part of his holidays in Ghana to get to acquaint himself with the project himself and push ahead with the construction work.
